Tourism Malaysia strengthens ties with Tamil Nadu, India’s travel agents, fostering collaboration to boost tourism and promote Malaysia as a top destination.

Tourism Malaysia’s Chennai office recently organized an engagement session aimed at strengthening its ties with Tamil Nadu’s travel agents. The event served as a vital platform for collaboration, featuring a warm welcome by Hishamuddin Mustafa, Director of Tourism Malaysia, Chennai, and bringing together prominent figures from the travel industry.

A standout moment of the session was an insightful presentation by Wan Chui Fong, Senior Sales Manager at A’Famosa Resort. She provided an in-depth look at the resort’s wide range of offerings, emphasizing specially curated packages for weddings, M.I.C.E (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and group travel. Her presentation resonated with Indian travellers’ growing interest in diverse and customized travel experiences, positioning A’Famosa Resort as a premier destination for unique and memorable stays.The engagement event highlighted the importance of fostering deeper cooperation with Indian travel agencies to meet the objectives of Visit Malaysia Year 2026. Key discussions revolved around raising awareness about Sabah and Sarawak, showcasing their rich eco-tourism offerings and vibrant cultural heritage. Additionally, the session spotlighted the increasing popularity of niche tourism segments, including M.I.C.E and wedding tourism, which are steadily gaining traction among Indian travellers.
