INDIA:

MakeMyTrip, an Indian online travel operator, is the most recent company to enter the Non-Fungible Tokens market (NFTs). The business has released a limited-edition immersive NFT series that features some of India's most well-known vacation locations.

The 'Virtual Vacations' NFT series will be accessible on a first-come, first-served basis, with just 25 owners for each NFT artwork, according to the company's app.

The first batch of collectables depicts the beauty of Goa, Rajasthan, Odisha, Meghalaya, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Himachal Pradesh, both visible and unseen. The NFT artworks showing Goa, Ladakh, and Kashmir - three of India's most popular tourist locations - were already sold out at the time of writing.

The proceeds from the sale of these NFTs would be used to help India's sustainable tourism projects.

Because each digital art piece is a kaleidoscopic meta-representation developed by Artificial Intelligence and iterative loop programming, the NFT art collection is 'immersive.'

MakeMyTrip Group Chief Marketing Officer Sunil Suresh remarked, "These NFTs are in line with our overarching marketing and communication purpose of inspiring every Indian to discover and appreciate the beautiful beauty of India."
