The programs are divided into three sections, mainly focusing on Career Work Skills Programs, Hospitality Industry Seminars, and Hospitality Community Career Conventions.
The Career Work Skills programs would consist of 12 career programs aimed at employment placements in Malaysia. All programs are approved by the Human Resource Development Corporation, and the Certificate of Program Completion will be issued by the Institute of Business Excellence, UiTM. The Hospitality Community Career & Entrepreneurship Program would be offered in all 37 locations of UiTM to assist the surrounding community in developing and enriching themselves. The programs would be geared toward fostering unity and entrepreneurship.
The Hospitality Industry Seminar will offer 260 programs through the 20 Centre of Excellence, specializing in various industry traits, from Housekeeping to aviation. The seminar programs would be offered through a Hybrid approach via the DHS edutech platform, Skillspro.
SkillsPro.my is Asia’s first talent and education platform for hospitality. It is a joint venture between DHS Hospitality Academy and Tin Tech Group. The platform specializes in providing hospitality training, retraining, and certification for individuals seeking to start or advance careers in the industry or upskill and reskill themselves while working. The platform offers a variety of programs, including short-term training programs, professional programs, placement programs, and pathway programs leading to Diplomas and work-study programs abroad.
DHS & IBE entered into this partnership to offer programs relevant to the industry by providing a pathway for Malaysian youths and the hospitality community to enhance themselves through our programs of UPSKILL and RESKILL. The Hospitality Community Career & Entrepreneurship program will be launched by the Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship & Cooperative Malaysia, Senator YB Sarasawathy Kandasami. The program would catalyze the spirit of entrepreneurship among Malaysian youths through intensive training and entrepreneurship modules.
UiTM will be the official partner based on its academic expertise and contribution to the tourism and hospitality industry through the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management, which has produced industry captains since 1967. In contrast, IBE is a Center of Excellence that has successfully obtained industry grants for training and consulting. The collaboration of industry, associations, faculty, and centre of excellence will provide diversity and richness in a volatile business environment.
