IATA has announced its rescheduled 76th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 23-24 November 2020. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will host its 76th IATA AGM and World Air Transport Summit at the RAI Convention Centre.
The dates were chosen in advance because government travel restrictions were lifted and that large gathering in the Netherlands was approved at that time by public health authorities. Through the partnership with public health agencies, IATA will work to ensure that all steps are taken for a safe conference.
"The world's top priority in the battle against COVID-19. The cost of the virus would be high both economically and Socially. The airline industry's serious financial difficulties are a prime example of this. A viable air transportation industry is important in the post-pandemic world. It will be the economic recovery leader by performing its traditional position in the global link between people, products, and companies. This AGM will help us to create a stronger future", said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s Director General and CEO.
